I fell asleep for about 20 minutes on the couch yesterday afternoon. That apparently was all I needed to refresh me & I was up until 3:30 am, even though I only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. Sigh. I tried to sleep in today but my phone rang (spam), even though I have it set not to let calls through until 9 am, except for calls from my contacts. Dh tried to call twice at 8:30 but it didn’t ring. It’s like my phone is doing the opposite of what it’s supposed to.

I called a client this morning whose account is in arrears. She disputed that she’s had 7 tutoring sessions (she’s only paid for 4) until I read her the dates of the sessions. She said she didn’t have her wallet on her 😐 & would get back to me. I’m going to have the tutor cancel her scheduled session tomorrow if I don’t hear back from her today. This is a rich lady with acreage & horses on her property.

I only got one load of laundry done yesterday so today I want to finish that, 3 more loads should do it. And go through resumes on Indeed. Have not received many resumes despite offering $23-$25/hr salary for 1-2 hours a week commitment with a flexible schedule. Ridiculous.

I let myself have more carbs over the past few days & went slightly above my calories on those days. I’m 4 lbs up today. I certainly didn’t eat 14,000 extra calories that would account for it (3500 cals in a lb). Sigh. Off to track & eat low carb again.

Dh’s 2 aunts & 1 cousin are coming to J’s wedding. Besides them & my brother’s family & 1 family friend & DH’s coworker, that’s it for representation from our side. We are happy they are coming & since they are all flying in from out of state we will invite them to the rehearsal dinner. Hopefully this doesn’t **** off A, but it probably will…

Oh Carrie, sorry for the disappointing birthday! Next time hide your dinner first in the oven.

If Val is facing amputation there’s no way she’s returning to waitressing, have they even thought about replacing her?

Y, I love your couponing deals! I like to coupon, mostly groceries & Dh laughs at me (I just got free shipping on our Chewy order & $30 off & some ibotta cash) but you are better at it than me.

I got a whopping 3 hours of sleep since I was up at 5:15 am to take Dh to the airport. I’m going to try to stay up so I can go to bed early, we’ll see. I only got 2 out of 5 loads of laundry finished yesterday so I’ll do at least 2 more today. Other than that I’m going to sit & stitch. I’m rewatching Virgin River because there’s a new season out & I’ve completely forgotten the storyline.

Carrie - sorry I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday here.  I did it on FB and forget when I finally got her.   So everyone took 4 pieces of pizza right away???  Geeze, are they afraid they will miss out........  like you almost did? 

So all our plans today haven't happened.  WE both slept in (I got another 8 hours), DH made breakfast.  I knew we wouldn't do DS but thought we were going to the brewery maybe and when I asked DH he said his back was bothering him from his ribs to his foot so he was "stretching"  aka sitting on the bed watching tv and leaning to one side LOL.

It is now 3:20 and I have been looking at Disney for possible dinner but the 3 places I am in the mood for aren't available.  DH said let's try the new empenada guy down the street. So.......  at this point it will be a quiet day at home. 

I took some pictures of bathing suits and sports bras that don't fit anymore and are in excellent condition and will try to list them on Poshmark

the lady from MN started in first thing yesterday...sent me 3 files....apparently thinks i can change an excel spread sheet that is a screen shot. you have the data, edit it! i have a GRAPHIC not a spread sheet. the last email she said she couldn't figure out how to get back from the pdf to the website on her iphone. i've never had an iphone. she continued to argue about how to do it on her phone, until i finally googled it and sent it to her. haven't heard from her since.

futuristic guy emailed and said he wanted the series title on the book and what had i done with the guy's backpack? it was missing a part. ???? so i sent him a closeup of the backpack and said i don't see where you're talking about. he sent back and said oh i see what you've done there. very nice job. i'll let you know tomorrow.

wtf???

worked on social media, justin finally called at 6 and said we're on our way over. justin, donna, karen, ty, caitlyn, ryan and phoebe and ryan's GF. they pushed the fence back into my yard. we ordered pizza. the first one i said is mine, it's pepperoni, cupped pepperoni and stuffed crust. then i ordered 3 more they suggested and cheese sticks. justin and ty went to get the pizzas and everyone got out their phones. EVERYONE didn't speak, just played on their phones. bring the pizzas home and i am always the last one to fill my plate. all of my pizza is gone. everyone has a min of 4 slices on their plates. i came back out and said you guys ate all of my pizza!! justin tossed one of his pizza slices on my plate. so at least i got supper.

justin put a movie on and they left about 75% of the way through it. since no one was talking, just on their phones, it was fine.

at one point i thought of turning off the wifi and saying let's play board games! but...no.

mr bean is currently yelling at the garage door to be let out. nope.

donna has gained maybe 50lbs in a couple months. and dyed her hair red. and looks like white trash. phoebe has grown a foot, has turned into mitzi gaynor in the dance world and has gone from painfully shy to wildly outgoing. caitlyn has gone from wildly outgoing to watching tornadoes on her phone. ty went from goober to the only guy who hugged grandma on her birthday.

i saved 3 pieces of pizza for mom since that has most of her commentary for over 2 weeks.

got sent a certified letter by the hospital stating the new hospital wing will be putting their garbage somewhere near my home. did i want to protest that?

didn't get mom's birthday card.

i'm just drawing the line there as MN lady has once again emailed at 11pm and said i'm wrong about her cellphone. it all worked BEFORE, and now it's all ****. but it's absolutely not HER fault.

sigh. so that was that birthday.

Happy Saturday!

I was in be by 11 last night and DH had to wake me up at 8:30.  I was out.

I got up and made my coffee, DH made a quick breakfast.  I did a walmart order for pick up later and then we headed outside to cut down our Firebush tree.  That took a couple hours because we had to also break down all the branches to get them into leaf bags.  After that fire bush I went and recut my plumerias because some were still dying off on a few branches, also cleaned up the bromeliads that were not happy after the freeze.  Lastly I cut my hybiscus down to almost the ground because it was not showing any signs of recouping with the first cut.  If it doesn't come back we will pull it out and buy a new one and the new one will bet placed a little better too so it won't grow into the front window.

after 3 hours of yard work we took all our amazon delivery boxes and broke them down to go out to the recycle bin. Then took showers so we could go pick up the walmart order.

We picked up Italian on the way home and I got my favorite lasagna and it was soooo good.

We want to do Disney Springs tomorrow so we will be heading out to do our BJs shopping in a little while, we want to wait for the Saturday madness to die down.  I also have a Bath and Body order to pick up.  They had a B2G2 free sale today PLUS they took my 25% off coupon AND I had a free 18.95 item from rewards.  When I pick up the order I have a coupon for a free 8.95 item so by the time I am done I will have gotten $70 worth of stuff for $15 =)

morning all..

slept in this morning, then couldn't find the cat. apparently he'd snuck out into the garage and spent the night out there. he was screaming his head off this morning. i've had a huge fear of doing that as he could easily freeze to death out there. and now it happened. so we'll be doubly diligent from now on.

had the audio book cover lady email and say the cover was the wrong size...it's labeled test 1 so yeah, it's not the full sized version as of yet. book cover guy emailed and said the title of the book was wrong and he didn't know if i could fix it. yes, yes i can. MN lady emailed and said she couldn't see the new version of her chart. the pdf is wrong as well. what can i do to fix this? (4 emails total) i said um. i slept in this morning and haven't put the new version online yet.

so yeah, things are going well.

cindy told me yesterday that val was still fighting an infection in her foot, it's been months now. and the doctor now wants to amputate all of her toes so it doesn't spread. yikes.

audio book cover lady just sent an email that the book cover is a pdf and needs to be a jpg...i sent her a jpg so no idea how it turned into a pdf with a different name on it. hmmm.

operator error there.

justin and fam are coming over tonight for supper, and to help me toss my fallen down fence back into my yard and not the neighbors.

supposed to be 83 here today with sunshine and wind. i'll take it

Slept in a little this morning. Cleaned up the kitchen, next is ironing a basket of clothes, then taking G to Kroger. Dh is supposed to take him weekly as a dad/son activity for good behavior & let him pick out some treats but he’s been traveling so much I told him I would do it.

I’ve got 3 or 4 loads of laundry to do, & we need to take Boo to the dog wash because she stinks. Dh is leaving tomorrow for another week & I can’t wash her myself.

I lost 2 lbs at the beginning of the week but they are back on, despite eating under my calories the last few days. Frustrating.

I snoozed the alarm one too many time this morning so was off to a slightly late start so you know what that means.... 2 separate car accidents that added 20 minutes to the drive.

I hit the ground running at work.  I was late for my 6:30 am meeting although so was the other person but I had that, then a conversation with the girl  who I'm helping train in my old job, then her boss, then the other girl that does that job.  Then I had to jump into getting benefit files submitted (BTW all this was done while walking on my walking pad) at 9 I had orientation training for a new girl in CT  That was tedious.  I would say move your mouse to the right.... no your other right...no, the other way... and this went on for 1 hour.  oh and my boss moved our 2pm meeting to 10am so I jumped right in with him.  Finished that meeting and walked over to our asphalt plant/dispatch building for a 10:30 meeting.  That walk was the best part of my day - it was gorgeous out.  Finished up that meeting then walked back to the office for a 12 noon meeting with the 3 from this morning - all of us in 1 room to lay down the law on who does what, when and how to get the newer girl up to speed.  That meeting was only supposed to be 30 minutes so I figured I had time for lunch... NOPE.  I had 3 minutes to get into the 1pm meeting (actually all 4 of us were in it).  I got the walking pad out and walked for that meeting as well.  At 2pm I finally got to grab my lunch.  Finished a few things and at 3pm said I'm done and went home. 

The trip home was busy but moving so that was awesome

Got home and DH said he dropped a clipboard in the garage and it broke.  He found all the parts but not the pen.  well it was driving him nuts and he kept looking so I took over for about half an hour or so.  On the floor looking under things and he comes back in and I ask him if the cabinet door was open, he said no.  We keep looking, finally he opens the cabinet moves 2 things and there was the pen.  So the cabinet was open.   ::)

Not sure exactly what we are doing tomorrow but I know we have to cut our firebush tree back and my plumerias need to get cut back further.

Well, I ended up falling asleep yesterday afternoon on the couch which I kind of expected. But I did get G’s laundry washed & folded & cleaned up the kitchen & made dinner.

Got to bed still in the wee hours but a little bit earlier than the past 2 days. G went with the TX workforce guy to Starbucks & Kroger for 1 1/2 hours. They might be done looking at potential jobs & next he will submit a report to them saying what jobs he thinks G can handle. If they find something for him I hope 1. It’s very part-time & 2. It’s close to home since I’ll be dropping him off & picking him up.

W & G just left to pick up DH at the airport. Dh leaves Sunday for Atlanta for a week. Originally when he gets back from that trip he was going to drive to IN to help out FIL with SIL, but he said he said he might see what condition she’s in from FIL before deciding to go this early. DH really thinks she only has a short time left (a few months). SIL is refusing to think about hospice care coming to the house to help. Also refusing to wear adult diapers so my niece has to clean her up. Honestly I don’t think Dh should go. He wants to support FIL but I don’t know what he thinks he can do to help. SIL & BIL are refusing help except from their kids.

Off to clean 2 bathrooms. W cleaned the windowsills & upper blinds in the dining room so I need to finish those, wipe down the buffet & vacuum & wash that floor, then that room is done for spring cleaning.

I got 3 applicants on my Indeed job so far. All 3 are male. Indeed doesn’t let you post a gender preference but our client wants a female. Sigh.

sorry i didn't post yesterday...i tried 3 times and finally gave up.

when cindy says i'm home sick but call me if you need me, it means don't call me. =)

supposed to be in the 70's today and 80 tomorrow. yippee.

off to the showers,  then work, then chiro, then work, then work.
