Happy Friday Eve!

Joyce - I'm casually looking.  I have called a woman who consults with us and actually owe her a call back.   I applied to one job a few months back when boss ticked me off that I could have done with my eyes closed but never heard back from them.  I am guessing my salary minimum scared them off.

Cool again this morning and it was cloudy out so we barely made it to 70s

I was so happy Monday at the number on the scale and it's crept up each day - today make 4lbs up.  I know I wasn't eating right but come on.... 7 days on a cruise I didn't gain that much.

Well I have had no trouble sleeping this week.... I'm going to bed.

Have a great one!!!!

My sleep has been beyond terrible the last few nights. The last 2 nights I’ve been wide awake until 5 am. Yesterday I got up at 10 am so that was 5 hours of sleep at least. Today I had to get up at 8:30 because the TX workforce guy was taking G again. 3.5 hours of sleep & I'm wide awake. It’s got to hit me sooner or later. I’ll try taking melatonin early tonight & see if that helps. I’ve been trying to read at night too, a real book & not off of my tablet.

I put out my Indeed ad, hopefully I get some decent applicants.

I treated myself to random things from Amazon. My sister had sent me a gift card for my birthday & got a $100 gift card last time I donated blood. Got some drain unclogger (lol!), a dress to wear to J’s rehearsal dinner, some sandals, a fake hydrangea centerpiece, resistance workout bands, & some jewelry pliers.

Today’s goal is catching up on housework & laundry. Dh is home tomorrow late afternoon so I’d like to get the majority done today.

It’s supposed to hit 85 today & sunny, but with the chilly nights our house holds on to the cold so I’m in long sleeves & long pants. Brr! Helpful during the TX summer though.

Y, are you actively looking for another job or just humoring your boss by looking at the job openings he’s sending you?

Carrie -  so if you needed her she would come in sick???????????????????

Joyce - glad the traffic wasn't too bad.

We hit the upper 60s today, and it was so nice out DH had the windows open getting some fresh air in the house.

Boss was in today and they listed his job on our career page.  He said he isn't retiring yet unless they tick him off then he'll jut leave.  It is to start the search for someone.  They need very specific software knowledge.  And no I don't want to apply for the job because 1. they want the new person to live in Mass and 2.  I won't put up with the carp he does and how much they put on him.  He did however find a job for me to apply for on linked in - It's crazy how he shows me these jobs but I know if I needed it he would give me a recommendation.

Not much else going on here.

Have a great night.

It’s supposed to get to 75 today but doesn’t feel like it. It’s overcast & windy.

I had the long drive home from the airport last night. Never enjoyable but traffic was lighter in spots than usual, probably because it’s spring break here. I played Mario Kart  with G, then walked Boo. Started A’s stocking, and it’s fun to work with colors again. Dh didn’t get to his hotel room in LA until 2:30 am our time.

I slept in today. Not sure what is on the agenda. I emailed some applicants that had applied on Indeed last fall but haven’t heard back from any, so I guess I’m going to have to put out a new ad.

Off to do some housework. I may start spring cleaning my next room, the dining room. Also want to put some Easter decor out.

It was cool this morning but dang the wind was freezing.

completely fell off the wagon with eating today.  Cookies, sugary cereal just junk.  Need to get back on track tomorrow.

Accountant got my dad's taxes done today for the time he was alive for 2025 and he's getting a 4500 refund into the estate account.

Spent the night sending documents I received to aflac, balancing the estate check book, updated my estate hours etc.

Have a great night.

Carrie, the crazy cook quit? That’s good news! They should start over with new staff. Is Val still in the picture?

I’m still angry about that tutor ghosting me yesterday. She had agreed to everything about the job, we had been emailing back & forth for a few days. I emailed her the Zoom link about 15 minutes before we were supposed to meet & she emailed back “got it!”. Then never showed up. I tried calling & emailing her- nothing. Well, I guess it’s better she ghost me than a client I guess. Back to square one.

G went out with the TX Workforce guy this morning. The guy said it would be about an hour. I didn’t get much out of G except they went to Walmart. Maybe G interviewed there? I wouldn’t mind if he got a part time job there , it’s only a few miles from our house. And brand new, & there’s never anyone shopping in that store.

DH is going to the airport today. Which means I have to drive back, in after work traffic. Ugh. I tried to get W to move his violin students up because they are on spring break so he can drive instead, but no dice.

I cleaned up the kitchen & am doing some laundry.

Dh is trying to help niece figure out her finances. She’s now dealing with a collection agency due to a college loan. Jerry Springer family. Part of me feels sorry for her because she never got any guidance from her loser parents.

Tonight I’m going to put on some shapewear, see how comfortable or uncomfortable it is, take my measurements & decide what dress I will wear to J’s wedding & order it. I have a few picked out.

finally here.
been a day.

overslept this morning and had to run for work. got there and it's just me. stocked everything and jeremy finally showed up about 5 min before we open. cindy showed up about 15 min later, said she had to get groceries for mom, and disappeared.

cook started getting pissy and throwing things, cindy said girls, and she quit, just like that. psycho.

amy, her SIL, said i'm not doing anything! so i called her a saint.

for putting  up with pam, she damn well is.

did lunch by myself, jeremy went to the men's room once and could barely walk when he came back. i said are you ok? he said yeah, but he wasn't.

went to the dealership and told katia about the furnace. she said meh. ok then.

got home and cindy had given me two hours of work to do, finished book covers and did my own computer work.

zoom zoom zoom

justin came over to get the cat food, dog food and people food (carrot cake) and chatted a bit.

currently almost done with 2 book covers, waiting to hear from the last one what "too diffused clouds" and "more ethereal" means.

tomorrow we're trying to connect etsy to social media to see if we can get more sales.

wish me luck.

off for cocktails.

Joyce - I am amazed at people - would it kill them to say I changed my mind or I can't make it?

So DH and I headed out to get dinner last night and go pummeled by a monsoon.  Drove to the plaza with the restaurant we wanted to eat at and waited and waited and waited and finally gave up and as we are driving out we realized the plaza had no power.  45 minutes and 2+ inches of rain later it slowed down.

DH made english muffin pizza's for dinner.  I felt like a little kid.

Yesterday's rain was a warm front coming up from the south.  Today it was the cold front coming in.  We got rain but nothing like yesterday at home.  At work we got several downpours and some hail.

Heading to the 40s for the morning.

Joyce - good job on losing.  I was all excited yesterday the scale finally shifted down and today up 2 again.  ::)

Have a great night.
