Weather here is swinging wildly. Lows in the 40’s, highs in the mid 70’s.

Carrie, I’d be asking when they are going to hire some new help since no one seems available to work. Does Val even come in anymore?

I didn’t get much done yesterday & with J & W’s friend coming in today for the weekend I’ve got cleaning to do. W is taking care of his own room, & filled the garage fridge, vacuumed the stairs & ran the roomba on the upper level.

I’ve got the guest room sheets in the wash. I’ve got 3 bathrooms to clean, dishes to do & some laundry to do but at least the main level is picked up. Then I’ve got to start looking through resumes & trying to find a tutor. We have a consultation tonight & 2 other leads I need to call.

When I was bringing groceries in yesterday Boo came out. She was hunting something in the front bushes. Dh took a broomstick & flushed it out. It was a plump mouse, that ran into the garage. Boo has been obsessed with it & sitting in the garage for hours. Tomorrow I might bring T into the garage too & start moving bins out of the way & see if one of them can catch it or at least scare it back outside. In AR we had mice often with the woods behind us but they were regular small mouse sized. Here in TX they are almost rat sized. Everything’s bigger in Texas!

just getting ready to start out 3 day blizzard here with wind gusts in the 90mph range.

and getting ready for a week of opening and closing by myself.

was not prepared for the yellow flags and spray paint in my yard and driveway, apparently the city is hard at work.

mom can't find the "pointer" on her computer, i've spent two days sending videos on how to do it and she just can't. today i find out she's using an external keyboard which is why nothing is working. sigh.

the realtor showed the house next door last night, then backed into my driveway and left. if he wasn't such an arrogant ass it wouldn't bother me.

ok, off to the showers.

Got to go out to lunch today with boss and a couple girls from the office, the treat of our CC vendor.  We had a nice time.

Actually got a good nights sleep last night too.

Not much else going on - just glad tomorrow is Friday.

have a great night.

Doesn’t sound fun Carrie.

W was supposed to sub at the high school today. Dh made up 2 flyers he wanted W to post in the teachers lounges about us hiring for tutors. But W texted me early this morning that he was throwing up so he’s staying home. Probably has something to do with him gaming online into the wee hours with J & friends (J is on spring break). So I guess I’ll be looking through resumes I already have on Indeed & trying to contact people. Ugh.

I’m going to get some cleaning & laundry done today because tomorrow I’ll be busy getting the house ready for W’s friend & J who will both be staying for the weekend. I’ll also do a quick grocery run for a few items I couldn’t get at Sam’s Club.

I told my little sister the dates in April we’re coming in to IN to visit my dad. She’s asking me to stay with her but I told her no. She might pick me up at FIL’s (where we’re staying) one day & take me to dads house to visit, then to her house where she’ll cook dinner for me & her friends (I like all of her friends & have known them for years). I would stay over that night at her house but it’s just me & just one night.

apparently the boys lost at state last night. school has a late start today so the cars are just zooming past the house.

so yesterday was all about devan. he wasn't even in the building. pam brought up the specials, carrie waited on the tables, jeremy did the bar. devan? home in bed.

and i get to close tomorrow, and friday, and mon-thurs next week.

cindy texted while i was IN the building that devan wasn't working lunch and she would cover. she came upstairs at 11:15, said i have to go get groceries FOR OUR MOTHER is that ok? yup. came back an hour later, talked with the boys and left. thanks.

i had almost $500 in sales. **** you devan and cindy both

not that i'm bitter. =)

then went to the dealership, then worked til 830 on the computer, and cindy started in already this morning at 8am.

getting real tired of this.

got snow last night and high winds today.

off to the showers

When we were in TN I stocked up on a soda I can only get there - it's called Dr. Enuf.  I love the diet, it is a soda kind of like a lemon lime with vitamins and they also have an herbal cherry one.  I was down to the  last 2 bottles (little 10oz ones) and I decided to drink them both last night with dinner.  It was as I finished the second one I tought.... I hope they don't have caffeine. Well I could NOT get to sleep last night.  I took melatonin when I went to bed and at 1am I took bendryl.  I got maybe 3 hours of sleep.  I looked it up today.... Yeah it has caffeine - they call it an energy soda.  Oops

Somehow I managed to stay awake all day at work all day.

Not much else going on...

Have a great night.

Big thunderstorm here last night. W went out to get Thanatos before the rain started at 10 pm. With the tracker collar W knew he was in a neighborhood backyard. I’m just waiting for the neighborhood Facebook post about “some strange guy in my yard”.

The sun peeked out so I took the boys to Sam’s Club. I originally was going for only a few things. Ended up with a cart full. Well our pantry is full now so no big Kroger trips in the future for a while. Just a few odd items to pick up here & there.

It took awhile to unpack & put away all of those groceries. My hips are screaming. Popped some Aleve.

I had to order fabric online for A’s stocking. Even with 2 bins of cross stitch stuff I didn’t have the right size in the right thread count. Michael’s & Hobby Lobby don’t carry that size.

I have another new lead to call tonight. It wouldn’t be bad if I actually had tutors. Right now I’ve found tutors for every job except 1, but everyone is stretched to the max amount that they want to tutor, so if we get more clients I’m stuck. I’m making up a flyer for W to put in the teachers lounge at the high school since he’s subbing there tomorrow. Hopefully they will let him.

Off to balance the checkbook & prep dinner.

unfortunately every day this week is going to have about the same pattern

found out on friday i'm the only person working. jeremy and devan are both gone. yay.

My plan today was to leave work about an hour and a half early at 2 so I could pick up DH and head to the eye dr.  Then boss passes on a new employee orientation to me and the guy can only do it at 2:30; so I tell boss I am leaving at lunch to head home so I can do the training.  Just as I am getting ready to leave the guy says Oh, I can't do 2:30 but I can do 3...  Sorry, the training is an hour and I have to leave no later than 3:45 to get to my appt so we have it scheduled now tomorrow morning.  I did go home and finish the day thought.

DH and my eye appts were at 4 and 4:15.  I love this doctor, she is so sweet and young.  She takes us both together and we were done by 4:20.  We had to wait until 5:35 to check out because all the people were busy and they had probably 10-12 people ahead of us.  I was so pissed off.  DH was going to get new glasses but we said forget it because it would have taken another 30 minutes to do that.  We will figure out glasses for him later on, maybe find a pair at BJs instead.  I plan on writing corporate that they need better options, and I shouldn't have to wait so long if I don't want glasses.  After 20 minutes I tried to just pay for the exams with the front desk but nope, you had to talk to the eye glass girls.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

By the time we got done, tried to stop for pizza (the line was out the door and down to the next business in the plaza so we gave up) got home, I helped DH flush the AC, and ate dinner it was 8pm.

Snow Carrie?  It will be 90 here tomorrow.

Have a great night.

Wow, snow! It will reach 80 today. Congrats on state!

It’s dark & gloomy out. Supposed to rain.

Dh & I had a consultation last night. A guy that needs his GED & also needs to pass his army entrance exam. We gave him a big discount because he’s military but now I have to find yet another tutor.

G went with the TX Workforce guy for a soda so he can get to know G.

Off to pack up & mail my dad’s gift. I need to work in the office today, ugh.

I lost a little more so I’m 25 lbs down from my highest weight of last year. Funny I’m still wearing the same size clothes. I took my measurements yesterday & they are exactly the same as when I was at my high weight. Sigh.
