Carrie, sorry about your mom! Will someone have to drive her to her appointments?

That’s terrible about your son being hit from behind. Hopefully he’s ok!  I’ve been hit a few times from behind, luckily they weren’t at a high speed (I was stopped). Twice I’ve seen other cars next to me getting hit from behind, it’s not pretty to witness (first one the guy passed out when his airbag deployed & I had to call 911, next one was on the expressway & debris went flying in the air).

I didn’t get any SSI work done yesterday but I’m not too worried. They will gather basic info on the phone with addresses & dates & they are supposed to contact his drs, therapists & schools. I’ll find out on the call what things I will need to gather & take in. So today I’ve moved everything off of the coffee table & spread my papers out. Just need to make sure I have everything ready & in front of me for tomorrow. My question is how far back can I go? We moved to TX in 2021 but the professionals that knew him best were his ST & DR in AR, but G hasn’t seen them in 5 years. The point of SSI is to determine whether he can work or not, so I don’t know if they will accept reports from when he was 14 years old.

That means they will rely mostly on school reports. He had an evaluation every 3 years. AR did formal testing & G scored low in every day functions. TX did not formally test him & relied on word of mouth from 2 teachers who said he had no problems with basic every day functions. Had I known better I should have insisted they formally test him.

Also TX Workforce wants to spend 10 hours with G as career guidance to see what kind of job he could handle. So I’m waiting for them to set up a call first.

I’m not doing any housework today. Just focusing on gathering the info I need for the call tomorrow.

W just told me his friend from Houston is coming here to spend a few days on the 13th. J is also staying with us that weekend as he has some orchestra thing in Dallas. So we’ll have a house full.

we are just stressed.

got to  work yesterday and devan called at 1102, mumbled i'm on my way, and finally got there at 1120. we fed him coffee.

went to the chiro who finally put my head on straight. actually slept last night.

got to the dealership and my son limped in the door. i said what's up? and he showed me photos of the car he was in, and the driver's car who rear ended him. she fell asleep and drove right into them at a stop sign. he said we're going to the hospital later. it was 3pm. the accident was at 8am. they finally got to the er at 5 after i went after arturo who was just wandering around like it's another day.

today they're going to the lawyer.

got home last night and did 4 hours of computer work that everyone loved or hated.

today we have to go to the restaurant, then the dentist then the dealership, then the therapist, then done. sigh.

off for another long day

Rocket went off this morning and because of the fog it created a jelly fish affect.  So cool but also distracting when driving and I was on the highway so I was trying to be ultra vigilant to make sure nobody drifted into my lane not paying attention

walked just under 3 hours today. Now I'm ready to crash

Have a great night.

Storms are coming here the rest of the week. Right now it’s just overcast.

Yesterday I went to the library & spent an hour going through G’s paperwork. I’d like to have them include G’s ST from AR but that was 5 years ago & I’m not sure they go past 3 years. He’s only seen a GP once for a checkup here in TX so he doesn’t know G. So most of this is going to rely on school records.

Last night the kitchen was a mess because I was making homemade spaghetti sauce & had G’s papers strewn everywhere on the couches & cocktail table. One of the parents of W’s violin students was very chatty (she’s a neighbor) & we have an open concept house so once you walk in you can see all the rooms. Guess I should make a better effort to pick up before W’s violin lessons.

There’s a recall on an item we bought at Costco so I’m going to go & return it. When I get back I really want to work on G’s school paperwork- every 3 years he had an evaluation & I’d like to read through & pull the last 3.  I contacted G’s old ST yesterday & also a friend from AR whose daughter got approved for SSI but I haven’t heard back from either.

Boy you two have been busy.  Carrie it's like you did a week's work in a day.

Today was busy for me at work fixing things people did years ago at the beginning of a job that now caused a problem. That was the first half the day.  The second half was working with the girl learning what I used to do.  Only walked about an hour and 20 minutes today.

Not much else going on here.

Have a great night.

I caught up on most of the housework yesterday. I was pissed because DH wanted to work on business stuff & kept putting me off. So I kept doing housework while I waited till he was ready. Then we did business stuff for 2+ hours. Then I had to make dinner, etc.

The only 2 things that were a priority for me were finding J’s Christmas stocking & measuring it, & getting started with G’s SSI paperwork. Neither of which I got to so I was mad. I wasn’t going to start it at 8 pm.

Today I told Dh after I get a few things done around the house I’m going to the library to work on G’s SSI stuff. I need quiet & no interruptions.

Of course we’ve got more office work to do when I get back. We’ve finished with tutor payroll & client billing. Now he wants to work on our client lists from the last 3 years- canceling out old clients & sending emails to those who have stopped but still have prepaid hours. There’s a lot to do. And a current client wants a tutor for her other daughter so I may have to hire again if the one tutor I have available can’t do it. Ugh!

Off to the library-

Joyce the new sneakers seem like they will make a difference.  They felt a little weird this morning my left foot is bigger but the left sneaker felt like heal had too much room but I stuck with them.  I ended up walking 3.5 hours today.  My feet felt good and my hips/knees didn't bother me as much.  When I got home from work I got out of the car without having to waddle for the first few steps so I take that as an improvement.  See what tomorrow brings.

I forgot to tell you guys, not sure if you remember but the girl I used to share an office with when I first started with the company and she got lung cancer back in late 2019 and got it to remission,  but ended up with other issues like her heart and memory and finally was let go about a year or so ago....  She passed away over the weekend.  She was 63.  Her daughter is supposed to get married in 2 weeks.  Very sad.

Boss is still away and is being very secretive about where he is.  I asked him if he was cruising and did he have good weather and he got all squirrely on me.  Fine keep it a secret.

Going to be in the 80s all week, spring is here.

Have a great night.
