31 here at the moment, with snow and rain this evening.

worked on a website for hours yesterday and got no where. will try again today.

worked on a book cover and she wrote smokescreen is one word. that's it, no other comment.

told my mom about the mri and the mri guy said he'd never seen anything like that in his whole career. mom snorted and said so you think you've got something special? EVERYONE has back spasms carrie.

i said the mri guy, two neurologists, my PT and my chiro and my doctor and none of them know what this is.

quiet.

off to work

Keep it up Joyce

We had a good and busy weekend.  Yesterday was the bank, Staples, BJs then back home to grab lunch.  We met up with our friend and walked around Disney Springs then headed to the hotel to walk around before dinner.  Dinner was great and we walked around a little more before taking our friend back to her hotel.

Today was up and out to the mall.  Traffic was a bear but what are you going to do.  We wandered the mall, I it Bath and Body to get my freebie and some more hand soap for the kitchen.  Then we stopped at a Fit2Run store to look at sneakers for me.  I wore saucony's yesterday and my feet hurt after all that walking and when I woke up my right hip was killing me.  My Ascis were all messed up on our cruise, when the streets flood in Cozumel from rain the water is this nasty milky gray color and my sneakers were soaked through.  DH cleaned them but they gross me out.  And I figure if I'm trying to walk more on the walking pad at work I should have something decent.  I ended up with a pair of Brooks which surprised me but they were most comfortable.  I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Stopped for gas on the way home and got the bonus 50 cents off at BJs for buying more than 150 on Saturday; paid 2.07 a gallon =)  Picked up a chicken for dinner and makes multiple lunches with the left overs.

Have a great night.

Carrie, when we had a cleaning lady in AR I would have to take everything off of kitchen + bathroom counters, out of the showers, etc before she came over. It was a bit of a pain putting it all away & putting it back but so worth the clean house. I miss those days. ☹️

I didn’t do much yesterday. That double blood donation wiped me out.

Today DH & I went to church, then spent an hour in the office doing payroll. We have it down to a quick routine but we have 9 tutors now so it takes time.

I still need to clean those upstairs bathrooms-  just a quick clean because I still don’t have a ton of energy. Then balancing checkbook, a quick clean of the master bathroom, & emailing payroll receipts to the tutors. Then I’m taking the rest of the day off. Couldn’t sleep last night, wide awake at 3 am & had to get up early for church.

joyce congrats on the loss!

spent all day yesterday working. made a book cover, cleaned a cupboard, found a ton more stuff the cleaning lady had stashed in a cupboard i never use. wtf. did my taxes. found more stuff she'd "tucked away" in the bathroom. if i'm using a medicine on my eczema, i leave it out so i remember to use it. she's put it all away.

worked on another website that uses square for payment which is the most unintuitive website i've ever seen.

went through the taxes and found out i had paid $800 for the restaurant website. they took it out of my paypal rather than cindy's cc on file. so now we have to call and straighten that out.

off to the showers. went to bed with the wobbles, woke up with the wobbles. today is kinda gonna suck

I donated blood this morning. I already get double the points for being O-. They asked if I would donate double red cells so I did & got double those points. So basically a $100 gift card. 😊 Plus a free sweatshirt. But I like donating because I’m a universal donor so my blood type is always in need.

Came home & did 2 hours of business office work with DH. Moving clients from when we started 3 years ago from Active to Inactive in our files. If someone hasn’t had tutoring sessions in 1 year we can cancel them, even if they have unused hours.

I’m resting for a bit, then cleaning the upstairs bathrooms that I didn’t get to yesterday. Changing & washing sheets. Other than that I’m taking it easy today. I want to get Ainsley’s stocking ready to start. I’ve got the pattern & floss, I just have to look for fabric in my stash & find J’s stocking to measure it to make sure they will be close to the same size.

I’m down 9 lbs since January, overall have lost 22 lbs since Jan 2025. I’m starting to notice a difference in my face, & my feet of all places. I still have a LOT to go but this is encouraging.

sunshine but chilly here today. 27

yesterday had the mri and the drive up there was atrocious. 30mph winds and 60mph gusts. we were all over the road. i wasn't going to take the valium, but then decided to. good idea.

mri guy said he'd never done a lumbar scan for spasms before so i'm guessing that's not the answer.

at least it removes some of the guessing.

ty brought over his girlfriend last night, so i did the grandma thing. cursed a little, made fun of ty and asked her about her parents. =)

today we're making a new bookcover and making a print cover for another book as well. have to call mom who has her surgery this week and is already going nuts.

need to learn about social media for etsy and etsy ads.

and rewatch the etsy guys meeting with me.

lots to do

have a good saturday

No idea why but I was so tired yesterday afternoon.  I got home and laid right down on the couch and fell asleep.  DH woke me up, we had dinner and I sat back down on the couch and fell back asleep. DH wok me up to call his mom and I fell asleep on the futon while he was talking to her.  Went to bed and I don't think I moved all night.  Better today.

Work was super quiet. A good chunk of the company is at a local hotel (even most the managers and big wigs from up north) at a "managers" conference.  There were only 10 of us on the 2nd floor and one guy got it arranged for a vendor to deliver pizza for us.  I opted to skip the pizza and had my Korean Beef but it was night just to hang out together.

Tomorrow our friend arrives and we'll be hanging with her at Disney.

Have a great night.

Although I’m mad/disappointed at my younger sister for not at least trying to find a way to come to the wedding, I decided it’s Lent & I should show some grace. So I called her. Her first words were “it’s been silent, I thought you were mad at me”. I just brushed it off, no sense hashing it out when she’s not going to change her mind. We talked for an hour about other things. Sunday dad had diarrhea but didn’t want to miss church on tv so just went in his pants. ☹️ He also left a mess on the bathroom floor that my older sister won’t touch so younger sister had to clean it up. He had an appointment with the urologist & they didn’t hook up his catheter to the bag correctly so his pants got all wet. He didn’t even change them, just let them dry. Younger sister told him he has to put them in the wash & he said “why?”. Not dementia, just terrible hygiene.

I did a load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen & had that long phone call with my sister. I need to prep dinner & will be cleaning bathrooms today. Then send out a few emails because I couldn’t muster up my motivation yesterday. I said a quick prayer to St Anthony (patron saint of lost items) & found Ainsley’s cross stitch pattern, stuck on a bookshelf in dh’s office face down (don’t remember putting it there). So I’ll start that tomorrow.

Dh wants to watch a Guardians of the Galaxy movie with me tonight. I got through that whole Marvel series of movies once (Ironman, Thor, etc), except this one. Dh watched them on his own but he also watched all the side series too. It’s not my cup of tea & I’ll never watch them again except maybe the Guardians ones.

Wow, snow! It will be near 80 today & sunny.

Went to early vote. Nice to go when there’s no waiting.

Doing a little laundry. Need to send out some business emails.

Just tired today.

I printed out the Christmas stocking pattern when I bought it a few months ago & now I can’t find it. I’m generally an organized person & I looked in the 2 spots it should be. So now I’m on the search for it. It’s 15 pages long so I don’t want to reprint it (in color).
unless I have to.
